A little bit UI and a lot of design.
Years of neglect and forgetfulness have depreciated my former attempts at blogging (many, many attempts). But seeing as I am further in my career and my knowledge on the subject of design practices / user interface have expanded substantially, I acknowledge that it is time to start recording my experiences, ideas, developments, and thoughts in a more formal manner. While I might not post as often as these subjects occur, I plan on regularly recording my experiences as a young UX Designer / Front-End Developer and delve a bit into my insight and processes.
I might not be the next @zeldman, but I feel that I am more than qualified to express my opinion on one or more topics. To be frank, most of the content in this blog might be otherwise construed as self-propelling drivel, in hopes to increase the visitors to my personal website and social networking sites. While I am trying to increase my social presence on the web & reworking my image somewhat from being a quote ‘graphic designer’ to a ‘ux developer,’ this is not my forum to do so.
I will be writing articles and rants exploring the following topics (I’ll try to be brief, but I do tend to rant): Design Philosophy and Principles, Web Standards and Conventions, Code Conventions and Practices (including snippets and plugin developments for languages such as Sass, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, JS, PHP, or whatever I am working on at the time), UX/UI Standards and Methodology, Design Ideas and Interface Tests, and generally whatever comes to mind at the time.
I don’t want to come across as being a web guru or expert in any field, I simply need another forum to express my creative thoughts in a more organized fashion. As a disclaimer, do not take any content of this blog to be proven fact, it is simply my opinions and ideas, that may or may not be tested.
With that said, please enjoy yourself, and I hope I have enticed you enough to come back and hopefully get some ideas and/or some inspiration. That’s really all that I can hope for.
